Legal paternity test

A painless cheek swab from the alleged father and the child. Testing the mother is recommended because it makes the result even stronger. Each person can be collected at a different site, in a different state if needed.

Prenatal paternity test

A non-invasive test during pregnancy, from a blood draw from the mother and a cheek swab from the alleged father. It’s safe for the pregnancy and can be done from about seven weeks. Ask us about court-admissible prenatal testing for your case.

Family relationship testing

When the alleged father isn’t available or has died, his relatives can be tested instead: siblings, grandparents, or aunts and uncles. We also test relationships for probate, estate and inheritance matters.

Immigration DNA testing

USCIS and the U.S. Department of State may suggest DNA testing to prove a family relationship. The testing must be done by an AABB-accredited laboratory and follow a strict process: the person in the U.S. is collected here, and the person overseas is collected at the U.S. embassy or consulate. We coordinate both sides and send results to the agency as required.

For immigration cases, include the receipt or case number and the embassy or consulate in the order notes.

How long results take

Results are usually reported within a few business days after the laboratory receives every sample. Rush service is available. You’ll see each step in your portal, and we’ll email you when the result is ready.
